The Engstligenalp exists of an almost round plateau which is surrounded by mountain ranges and how a gigantic arena works. The mystic typography of the Engstligenalp invites to a walk formally. Along the nicely wide gravel - footpath, we come completely behind on the Engstligenalp to a meadow littered with boulders. There we also find the striking block of the Lägersteins. Here the most southern point of the Engstligenalp, to the central and most intensive strength place is the nightmare.

Stories and legends

The name Engstlige, for the nightmare and brook should go back to Celtic river goddess Andekingila, the quickly going. At the moment of the Celts the headwaters of the rivers counted as special strength places. Everywhere on the Engstligenalp, especially along the brooks, with the small pools and on the foot of the waterfall the presence of the mystic strength is perceptible.

Waterfall way

Between both inns the way leads down to the foot of the upper Engstligenfalls.
The way further leads about a bridge, on the other shore to the markannten cliff walls along talauswärts and in very much abschüssigem area in precipitous sweeping, down to the valley ground.
