Simmenfälle and Siebenbrunnen
- strength place

The foot of the Simmenfälle
is approx. 200 ms behind the restaurant Simmenfälle. At the
very back in the Lenk valley.
The water of the Simmenfälle
falls about a row of several meters of high cliff cascades and
leaves the mountains on the foot.
A narrow footpath drives down directly beside the bubbling water
(He is passable only from below upwards, and requires good footwear!).
However, it also leads a more safe variant, until up to the Barbara's
bridge.
The water is strongly charged by the speed at which it shoots by
the rocks and about Flühe and spreads an exceedingly stimulating
atmosphere.
Concerned with the Barbara's bridge,
you enjoy a refreshing shower and experience thus the flying Simmenfälle
very closely.
The Barbara's bridge leads over the old Simme-brook bed to a canal which diverts
the Simmewater in a new bed. By the end of 18-th century municipality Lenk resolved
because of returning floods in Suet-around to correct the run of the Simme .
At this narrow place the canal from the cliff was hit and then the brook was
diverted.
Siebenbrunnen
- Simmenquelle
The Simmenquelle is on the foot of the mighty limestone wall.
The water resigning from the cliff is melt water between wild
bustle and pipe brook stone of recumbent glacier. The subterranean
ways are not known, however, the water flows along from gaps
and fissures in the rock body. The spring vary
in the annual course of one year because of the permanent water
supply from the glacier only a little.
The spring bubbles out according to quantity of water in seven
main shots as thirty meter wide fields from rock fissures under
the cliff wall of the mountain Flüschaf. She forms one of
the nicest water fountains under the Swiss springs. From Sibe Brünne
the name Sibne and late Simme originated for the river and the
valley of the same name in the eastern Bernese Oberland
